Indian
Anthropological Association is trying to initiate a dialogue
among the professional colleagues opening doors of discussion
with NGO personnel, planners and administrators with special
reference to the development experiences.
One of the biggest achievements of the association was to
organize the Xth International Congress of Anthropological and
Ethnological Sciences in 1978 and to publish an exhaustive
directory of the Indian Anthropologists and their works during
this occasion. More than 2000 delegates of professional
anthropologists from all over the world carried this
directory with them to their countries.
Since its inception, the Indian Anthropological Association has
organized conferences and seminars that have provided the
meeting ground of diverse ideas, generated debates and settled
academic issues. |
